MS. JESSIE VAS
Ms. Jessie Vas is a teacher for 44 years. She began her teaching career in 1964 at St. Joseph’s High School, Colaba, Mumbai run by the Order of the Convent of Jesus and Mary. In 1971, she joined Jamnabai Narsee School, Vile Parle, Mumbai where she taught Humanities and English . From 1999 till 2009 she was the Principal of Jamnabai Narsee School, Vile Parle, Mumbai .
Ms. Jessie Vas is a Post graduate with Economics and Political Science from Bombay University. She completed her entire education leading to a BA, B.Ed. from Mangalore – a seat of education for excellent teachers. Born in 1943 in the town of Mangalore she has spent the best part of her life as a teacher in Mumbai, for which she received the Best Teacher Award for 2003 from the former President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.
She is also the Chairperson of EUMIND India a virtual organization that promotes collaborative interaction amongst the schools in the Western Region of Maharashtra and the schools in Western Europe mainly in Finland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
